Live Like a Local in your Paris Home away from Home

This light, airy top floor Paris space is over 60m²/645ft², that’s more than 30%  bigger than the average Parisian apartment. It’s ideal for up to 4 people including children who are most welcome.  

The living room

The living space is very spacious with 2  large 3 seater sofas and additional chairs, perfect for collapsing onto after walking the entire city. Even when one sofa is commandeered as the 2nd double bed there are still plenty of places to sit – I can’t stand perching on beds in tiny hotel rooms!

Whilst there is no TV there is very fast, free fibre-optic wifi so you can still watch all your favourite movies or news channels if you are not exhausted however there are hundreds of books and some card & board games for all ages though for some reason my coasters keep all the under 3s occupied!

The bedroom

The bedroom has a very comfortable super kingsize bed which is 2m/6ft6″ long or it can be arranged with twin beds. Blackout curtains make sure you sleep well even when it’s still light until midnight in July.  You can unpack and feel at home because there are masses of cupboards and hanging space.

The bathroom

Between the bedroom and the living room there’s a full bathroom with a shower in the bath and a toilet. There’s also a second toilet at the entrance opposite the kitchen.  

For those who use a wheelchair or who are wobbly on their feet, there are grab bars by the toilet and around the bath. There’s also a bench that can be placed over the bath to sit on, or a stool for inside the bath.  

The kitchen

The large, fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need to create gorgeous French meals as there is a wonderful bakery 20 metres away, a supermarket opposite, 2 organic stores selling gluten, dairy and everything else -free products within 200 metres and an organic Farmer’s market on Saturday mornings (see local map of the area on the ‘Live like a local’ page for more information). OK you’re likely only to create fabulousness from baguette, cheeses, patés and hams but you can do it with a glass of wine and then flop onto your sofas!

Breakfast

Wandering to the bakery every morning may be one of the highlights of living like a local however you don’t want to miss out on the same amazing breakfast as my guests staying in the B&B?  At 52 Clichy you have the best of both world’s, your large, private space and also breakfast ‘room service’ delivered to your door.

Breakfast is one opportunity for me to pop down with my cup of tea to chat and make sure you have everything you need, give you any advice you want in order to plan for your day out and generally get to know you. However I try really hard to make sure everyone has the opportunity to pop up to my apartment for a cup of tea or a glass of wine on the balcony so that we can chat. Think of me as your private Concierge / tour organiser 🙂

The apartment is ‘wheel-chair friendly’, there are no stairs to climb anywhere in the building and the elevator that brings you to your apartment door is large and modern.

In Winter the apartment is really warm and cozy, the heating works well and the south-facing windows let in all the sunshine. In Summer there is so much height and space the apartment stays cool, an advantage created by the sun not beaming on your zinc roof for more than a couple of hours in the morning each day.

The pricing is for 2 adults and includes breakfast. € 250 per night. There is an additional charge of €40 per additional person per night. Hotel tourist taxes are currently an additional €2.60 per person per night.

A Non-Refundable deposit payment of €300 is required to confirm your booking. Final payment will be due 60 days before arrival. Please read the Cancellation section below before making a booking.

A Damage Deposit of €150 is payable on or before arrival. This is reimbursed within 24 hours after departure.

Payment methods

Using my website reservations are made with a deposit payment by credit card.

However :

• If you have a Euro bank account please request my bank details in order to send a wire transfer to avoid 3% credit card fees.

• WISE : for frequent oveseas travellers this seems to be by far the fastest, cheapest way to transfer money between currencies, way cheaper than banks, credit cards or Paypal, I use it all the time. Policies

Check-in

As long as I have your travel details, please come straight from the airport / train station, leave your bags, take a key and start your day.

Check-out

Check-out time is normally 10am however, if we’ve agreed in advance, it’s always possible to leave your bags with me if your departure is later in the day.

Cancellation

52 Clichy is my primary source of income so please purchase comprehensive travel insurance before booking and don’t confirm until you’re sure of your dates. The non refundable deposit payment secures my calendar and confirms your booking.

Bookings that are cancelled within 60 days of arrival forfeit the deposit and the final rental payments. However, every effort will be made to replace your booking if a date modification or cancellation is required within the 60 days period. If successful, your rental and deposit payment will be refunded minus €100 admin fee.

Pets

No Pets

Smoking / Candles etc

No smoking allowed anywhere in the apartment. No candles, incense etc either.

Groups

For more than 4 adults / children consider booking the B&B for 2 too.
